All this negativity towards snowboarding was ended in 1988.  The Winter Olympics accepted it as more than just a crazy ride.  Snowboarding was well and truly a recognized sport.  If you want to know exactly what equipment you need and all the rules of safety, you must have lessons.  Children know all about tobogganing down a rise but snowboarding is incredibly fast and not child’s play.  If you take lessons from a professional you will also cultivate an attitude of respect for the ride.  This is necessary to keep you safe.
